Thirteen years as a classroom teacher in humanities, including U.S. history, philosophy, ethics, economics, and comparative religion (1972-1982); Upper School principal, Heathwood Hall Episcopal School (1982-85); Curriculum Director, Forsyth Country Day School (1978-1982); Curriculum Director, K-12, Heathwood Hall Episcopal School (1982-85).

Director of Adult Literacy, Adult Education, US Department of Education (1985-88); Special Advisor for Literacy and Workforce Development, Governor’s Office, State of Mississippi (1988-1991).

Training and Management Consultant, 1991 to Present; currently President of Haigler Enterprises, providing human resources consulting services to Fortune 500 companies, small- and medium-sized businesses.
